Our infant and toddler care program is designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for your little ones. We focus on sensory play, early motor skills, and emotional development. Your child will receive individualized attention, ensuring their unique needs are met during these critical early years. Our safe, warm setting encourages exploration and builds a foundation of trust and security.

Preschool

Curiosity first — and kindergarten readiness right behind it.

Our Pre-School program nurtures curiosity and fosters early learning through play-based activities. We emphasize social, emotional, and cognitive development with a focus on creativity, early literacy, and numeracy. Our structured yet flexible curriculum helps children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and a love for learning, all while preparing them for Kindergarten.

Flex-Care
5 to 12 years

Flex-Care

Before school, after school, holidays and breaks — covered.

Our Flex Care program offers flexible child care for school-aged children. Whether you need before or after-school care, holiday care, or a safe place for your child to spend time during school breaks, we provide a stimulating and supportive environment. Activities range from homework assistance to arts and crafts, physical play, and group games, tailored to keep older children engaged and learning.

How joining usually works

No forms before you have even seen the place. We start with a visit.

  3. 03Paperwork & start dateWe complete the licensed-care paperwork and agree a gentle first week.

We care for children from 3 months to 12 years, across three programs: Infant & Toddler (3 months – 3 years), Preschool (3 – 5 years) and Flex-Care for school-aged children (5 – 12 years).

Yes. Sunlight Childcare LLC is a Family Home Day Care, proudly licensed by Virginia Childcare, and located in Hamilton, Virginia (ZIP 20158).

We are open Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. We are closed on weekends.

Our day care is rooted in Christian values, and we strive to foster an atmosphere of kindness, respect and compassion. In practice that means simple prayers, Bible stories at circle time and a steady emphasis on caring for one another. Families of all backgrounds are warmly welcome.

Yes. Our Flex-Care program is built around flexible needs — before and after-school care, holiday care, and school breaks. Talk to us about your schedule and we will do our best to make it work.

Kiran John, our owner and Program Director, has 14 years of teaching experience across preschool, kindergarten and elementary levels, and is certified in CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration Training (MAT).
